Therapy can be for individuals, Couples, and Families. We currently serve all ages. Some of our Therapists specialize in Trauma Work if that is also needed.

Our therapists are trained in a variety of modalities to best suit your needs. We believe in a holistic approach to therapy, addressing the mind, body, and spirit. Some of the modalities we utilize include:

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR): EMDR is a powerful therapy technique used to process traumatic experiences and alleviate distress associated with them. It helps reprocess memories in a way that reduces their negative impact on your present life.

Couples work involves the Gottman interventions, a set of therapeutic techniques and principles developed by Dr. John Gottman to help couples improve their relationships. Grounded in extensive research, these interventions focus on enhancing communication, resolving conflicts, and deepening emotional intimacy.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): CBT is a widely-used therapy approach that focuses on identifying and challenging negative thought patterns and behaviors. It helps you develop healthier coping strategies and change unhelpful beliefs.

Internal Family Systems (IFS): IFS is a therapeutic approach that explores the different parts of your inner self and works to integrate and harmonize them. By understanding and nurturing your internal family system, you can achieve greater self-awareness and inner peace.

EMDR and IFS Intensives:

EMDR therapy stands out by not necessitating detailed discussions about your distressing issues or assigning homework between sessions. Unlike other therapies that aim to alter your emotions, thoughts, or behaviors directly, EMDR therapy facilitates the brain's natural healing process.

Designed to address unprocessed traumatic memories, EMDR therapy often requires fewer sessions compared to other psychotherapeutic methods, making it a time-efficient solution for many individuals seeking relief from trauma.

EMDR can be utilized in the traditional 50-minute session as well as in a two-day or five-day intensive.

Insurance:
I can participate as an "Out of Network" provider if you have insurance. Serving you as an "Out of Network" provider means you pay my regular session fee, and then I provide you with a receipt with all the point-of-service information necessary for you to file and possibly get a rebate from your insurance company.
